Cookie & Tracking Notice

Effective: May 12, 2026

What we use

DivorceAve uses a small number of cookies and similar technologies strictly necessary for the service to work. We do not use third-party advertising cookies, cross-site tracking pixels, or analytics that build behavioral profiles of you.

  • da_session — your authenticated session token. Required to keep you signed in. HttpOnly, Secure (in production), SameSite=Lax. Expires after 30 days or when you sign out.
  • da_country — the country code we infer from your IP. Used to enforce US-only access. Not personally identifying.

What we don't use

  • No Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, or other ad/analytics SDKs.
  • No third-party retargeting cookies.
  • No cross-context behavioral advertising. Your activity on DivorceAve is not used to show you ads anywhere — including on DivorceAve, which is currently ad-free.

If we add analytics or ads

If we ever introduce analytics or in-app advertising, we will:

  • Update this notice at least 30 days before the change takes effect.
  • Show a consent banner where required by law (e.g. for EU residents, although the service is US-only).
  • Honor "Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information" signals (including Global Privacy Control) for residents of states that recognize them.

Advertising, when enabled, will never appear in chat, onboarding, checkout, or profile-editing screens.

Managing cookies

You can clear cookies in your browser at any time. Clearing the da_session cookie signs you out. Modern browsers also let you block third-party cookies entirely; doing so will not affect DivorceAve since we don't use third-party cookies.
